Let me fly high

I was a bird

Who dreamt of

Capturing the new skies.

To explore the unexplored

To spread the wings and fly.

I wished to bloom

Like a golden shower

I wished to shine

Like a sparkling star.

But life was not easy

As it seemed.

A lot of obstacles

Remained in my way

With their towering heights.

But I stayed strong

At heart and mind

To accomplish

The desires of my life.

Still, I was blocked

From achieving my dreams

Still, I was stopped

From reaching the heights.

My wings were tied

My cage was closed

With me inside.

I banged my hands

On the iron cage

I screeched throughout

With immense pain.

Finally,

After a lot of efforts

My cries were heard.

My cage was opened

And I was set free.

I felt the air

And floated through the sky.

I was mesmerized

Seeing the new miles.

My mind was filled

With gratitude and love

To those people

Who let me fly.

Let me capture the new skies

Let me fly high.
